Field Trip

In April, Catt White and Dale Steele had a dream; to open a world class market in San Diego.  .  Funded by a Kickstarter, campaign, originally asking for $92,000 the ending total was over $140,000.   In April The San Diego Public Market was born.  I'm a huge believer in supporting local businesses, farms, and the local economy, so today I finally got to go to see the results of the dream.  Here are a few snaps from the day.

Located on National Avenue in the East Village area of San Diego, it's open Wednesdays and Sundays.
An eclectic neighborhood to be sure, but there is plenty of free parking in the back.

You can even stay for lunch.

Fresh fish

Citrus and persimmons

I'm looking forward to seeing what's next for this worthy project, San Diego deserves a market to rival Pike Place in Seattle.
